How to alphabetize in Google Docs?

Here are the step by step instructions to sort text based on alphabets. You can sort either in ascending or descending order.

Step 1:- Login to your Google Docs account and open the file to sort by alphabets.

Step 2:- Now click on Add-ons –> Get Add-ons. This will list a box where you can search for a particular addon.

Step 3:- Search for “Sorted Paragraphs” and you will get an addon as shown in the below image. Click on the +Free button to add it to your google addon list.

Step 4:- Now you have to authenticate the add-on using your Google account. It is just an automatic procedure and you just need to agree with the terms and conditions to complete the step.

Step 5:- After installing the addon, select the text you want to sort in ascending or descending order based on the alphabet.

Step 6:- Now click on Addon again and you can see addon names “Sorted Paragraphs“. Just right to that, there is the option to sort from A-Z or Z-A.
