New WhatsApp feature
Currently WhatsApp has the possibility of being able to archive conversations, but these are automatically unarchived when you receive a new message from the same contact. For this reason, an option was missing that would allow simply saving and at the same time deactivating notifications. The solution will be the new option ‘Read later’ or ‘Read later’.
This tool already appears in the beta version 126.96.36.199 of WhatsApp for Android. According to WABetaInfo, this is a name change for the archived chats section with extra new features.
Archived and muted conversations
Revealed images show that by selecting the ‘Read Later’ option in a chat, we will no longer receive any notification. With this, WhatsApp seeks to “reduce interruptions.”
It is still unknown when this function will appear in the official version of the app and if it will arrive at the same time on iOS, however it is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. Do you already know in which chats you will apply this option?
