AppleTV+ announced that the production would be under the production of Jason Katims, who has already participated in projects such as Friday Night Lights, Parenthood, As We See It, among others.
According to a first report, ten episodes are planned, although the story could be lengthened. Fisher Stevens will be in charge of directing the pilot episode.
AppleTV+ also revealed the name of part of the cast that will be part of the adaptation of ‘Dear Edward’:

- Taylor Schilling, who was in Pam and Tommy and Orange is the New Black
- Colin O’Brien, who participated in Mr. Harrigan’s Phone and Wonka. O’Brien will be the one who plays the boy, the protagonist of the drama.
