The first months of 2022 are going strong for sports lovers. First will be the grand finale of SB LVI on February 13. Shortly after, on March 20, the new F1 season will begin. When and where will the Telcel Mexican Tennis Open be?
The next tournament to be presented by HSBC and this year changed its official venue. Previously, the event was held at the Princess Mundo Imperial in Acapulco, Guerrero. For this year, although the entity will remain the same, the venue has been changed for a much larger and more modern one.
the complex GNP Arena which is located within the facilities of the Hotel Princess Mundo Imperial Golf Course, also in Acapulco, will be the new location that receives all white sport fans. This new facility will allow more fluid access for assistants, coaches and players, due to its more than 6 hectares of land.
In addition, the main stadium has a capacity of just over 10,000 spectators. This means that it will be the largest ATP stadium in all of Latin America.
Raúl Zurutuza, director of the tournament, assured in past months through the official website of the Mexican tennis open that this change was generated due to the great rise that the tournament has had year after year. “We are forced to move to a new venue with larger spaces and better facilities to offer the best experience to our spectators”he settled.
The Telcel Tennis Open 2022 will take place from February 21 to 26. Tickets were put on sale since last October of the previous year.

Players called to the Tournament
A few weeks ago the tournament announced its selections. They certainly stand out from the list. They are Rafa Nadal, Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
The Spaniard Nadal will return to Mexico with the ambition of obtaining his fourth prize. While Zverev, the champion of the last tournament, will be looking to retain his title, especially against Tsitsipas, who was his proud opponent in that exciting final.

Calendar of the Mexican Tennis Open Telcel 2022

Turtle releasing
Year after year the alliance of WWF-TELMEX Telcel Foundation is in charge of organizing a traditional release of turtles during the Telcel Mexican Tennis Open In Acapulco.
