While using the latest version of liborrent adds numerous fixes and improvements, which include fixed memory leaks and cfixes for speed problems on Windows caused by the caching logic of the operating system and the “HTTPS tracker validation” option is available on all platforms with the latest version of libtorrent.

How to install qBittorrent on Ubuntu and derivatives?
For those who are interested in being able to install this new version of qBittorrent, they should follow the instructions that we share below.
By default, for Ubuntu-based distributions (Linux Mint, Kubuntu, Zorin OS, Elementary, etc) the application can be found within the official repositories.
But it also offers a repository in which updates are offered more quickly. In this case we are going to use the repository, which we can add to the system by opening a terminal (you can use the key combination Ctrl + Alt + T) and in it type the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-stable -y
Then we continue to install the application:
sudo apt-get install qbittorrent
To eliminate qBittorrent we simply have to execute the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-stable
