Lubuntu 21.04 fund contest

When I was going to say that it seemed to me very early, I have looked at when it was last year and I have realized that it does not, it usually is. Focal Fossa’s opened on December 6, and the Lubuntu 21.04 Hirsute Hippo fundraising contest has been opened just 12 hours ago. From now on, anyone who wants to participate to have their creation added can do so by following the rules detailed in the project forum.

From here, the news is similar to that of the rest of the contests, including those of other official flavors of the Canonical system. The most important thing is that you have to respond to the official thread and upload there the image with which the designer wants to participate, in addition to said image must be your own In its whole; You can’t just take an existing thing, modify it, and submit it to any of these contests.

Lubuntu 21.04 Hirsute Hippo is coming April 2021

The Lubuntu team is pleased to announce that we are holding a Hirsute Hippo Art Competition, which gives you, our community, the opportunity to submit and earn your favorite wallpapers for both desktop and screen. Welcome / Login (SDDM) included in the Lubuntu 21.04 release.

What I have read less in this type of contest is that images can also be delivered for the welcome screen (SDDM). For everything else, the rules are maintained:

  • Own images.
  • Recommended size of 2560x1600px and with good quality.
  • There should be no brand names, unless they are the name “Lubuntu”, its logo, “Hirsute Hippo” or “21.04”, all related to the operating system. The marks must not be intrusive.
  • Image license must be CC BY-SA 4.06 or CC BY 4.03. If not specified, they will be taken as CC BY-SA 4.0.
  • It does not put it like that on the bases, but I add it: be very careful with images that contain violent, sexual, racist images, drugs, etc. They could be rejected.
  • The contest is now open and they will stop accepting images on February 25.

Lubuntu 21.04 Hirsute Hippo will be released on April 22, 2021 with the rest of the wild-haired hippo family.
