According to Deadline, the new series will be a spin-off and it will be called How i met your father (How I met your father) and it will be the story of Sophie, played by Hilary Duff, a mother who tells her son how she met his father. All with a style similar to that of the anecdotes of Ted.
“The story begins in 2021, where Sophie and her group of friends are in the midst of discovering who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.” anticipates the series description.
The new series has been created by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. Producers are Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, the minds behind How I Met Your Mother.
It is not yet confirmed whether the story of How i met your father will be related to the original series, but it is expected to look similar.
